LONDON – Viridios Group (“Viridios” ) has received accolades in six categories in this year’s Environmental Finance Voluntary Carbon Awards as the climate finance company continues to grow and expand around the world.
Now in their 13th year, the Environmental Finance Voluntary Carbon Market Rankings are one of the largest and most closely watched surveys of the world’s Voluntary Carbon Market with over 4,000+ voters.
“It’s a real honour that the industry has voted for us across so many categories and strongly attests to the fact that we have developed a compelling carbon market proposition,” says Viridios Founding Partner and Group CEO, Eddie Listorti.
“For both Viridios Capital and Viridios AI our priority over the last three years has been to lay really strong foundations so we can deliver best in class services for clients. We did this by identifying the requisite carbon market services and then hiring the best people in the industry to deliver them.”
Viridios’s technology arm, Viridios AI, took out Best Market Innovation for its VAI carbon credit valuation, pricing and project information platform, with the industry acknowledging the vital impact it’s having in delivering transparency in the voluntary carbon market (VCM).
“We are committed to playing a key role in developing the carbon industry and through Viridios AI we are adding real value by making carbon pricing, valuation and project analytics readily available to all market participants. This award is a great endorsement by the market and testament to the hard work, skill and innovation the team continues to deliver,” Listorti says.
Viridios’s finance arm, Viridios Capital, has also been recognised by the market in five categories, coming runner up in:
- Best Advisory/Consultancy
- Best Project Developer (Overall)
- Best Trading Company
- Best Corporate Offsetting Programme
- Best Initiative
“Our end-to-end approach means we can offer a professional global advisory service for corporate clients while building up a decent origination pipeline. This allows us to offer solutions that fit increasingly stringent criteria, with lower downside risks,” says Listorti.
“We set out to provide everything the carbon market needs in one place, and receiving recognition across all these categories is a strong endorsement that we can provide a complete service offering helping clients to develop and execute their net-zero strategies.”
